Opening Rounds Tour
A great way to see all that Augusta has to offer under tournament conditions (as well as getting to watch the legendary honorary starters combining Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player) this tour enables you to see Augusta National up close with its full field and still be home in time to watch the final round on Sunday and say “I’ve been there!”
Tuesday 4th April
Following your arrival into Columbia Metropolitan Airport you will meet the Marriott Airport shuttle and make the short 10 transfer to the hotel. On arrival you will check in for 4 nights accommodation before having the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure. Your Vision 4 Sport representative will be on hand to meet you and ensure you have everything you need.
The hotel benefits greatly from a prime central location with numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, please do ask for recommendations, the Brazilian steakhouse is always a popular choice on the first night.
Wednesday 5th April
Breakfast at the hotel before 10.00 transfer to Cobblestone Park Golf Club, first tee time at 11.15. Return transfer to the hotel, evening drinks reception at 19.00 in the hotel bar.
Thursday 6th April
Today is arguably the most anticipated day in the golfing calendar, with Jack, Arnie and Gary again getting proceedings underway the 2016 Masters Tournament is finally here.. Today we will leave early for Augusta to ensure you don’t miss a shot. With the much sought after Masters Badge in your possession the gates of Augusta National await and what will surely be one of the greatest golfing days in the year. Be sure to find time to stop by the Masters store, this really a golf shop like no other, with everything from your typical golf shirts and caps to tea towels, babygrows and handbags you really can get everything “Masters” in here.
We will depart Augusta for the hotel 30 minutes after the completion of the days play. Once back in Columbia the evening will be at your leisure.
Friday 7th April
Breakfast is available at the hotel from 06.30 before we transfer to Augusta National for round 2. With the halfway cut looming at the end of the day everyone in the field will be looking to ensure their safe passage to the weekend. Having seen the course for the first time yesterday you will no doubt have found a couple of favourite spots to enjoy groups come through, although with so many iconic and stunning golf holes you often find yourself spoilt for choice.
This afternoon you have the added benefit of hospitality at The 1018 Club. Located just 400 yards from the main gate to Augusta National the 1018 offer the finest in Southern Hospitality and with superb food and a complimentary bar this is the perfect way end the day. We will depart from the 1018 approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the days play and once back in Columbia you will have the evening at your leisure.
Saturday 8th April
Breakfast will be available at the hotel before check out and depart for home. There will certainly be time for some last minute shopping and depending on your flight time there may even be the opportunity for an extra round of golf.
